This notice describes how the personal data of users visiting this website is processed, pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003, as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018.

Browsing data

During normal operation, the IT systems running this website collect some data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet protocols, such as IP address, browser type, date and time of the request and requested page. This data is used only to ensure the proper functioning and security of the website and is not used to identify users.

Data provided voluntarily

If you contact SOCEA by email or phone using the details shown on the website, we will process the data you provide (for example name, email address, phone number and message content) to respond to your request.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Operation and security of the website: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Replying to contact requests and handling any pre-contractual relationship: steps taken at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Displaying third-party content (Google Maps map): user consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which can be withdrawn at any time.

4. Processing methods and retention

Data is processed electronically, with security measures appropriate to prevent loss, unlawful use or unauthorised access. Browsing data is kept only as long as strictly necessary for the security of the website; contact request data is kept as long as needed to handle the request and, if a business relationship follows, for the period required by law.

5. Recipients

Data may be processed by providers acting on behalf of the controller and appointed as data processors (for example the provider of website hosting and email services). Data is not disclosed to the public.

6. Transfers outside the European Union

Only if you consent to displaying the map, some data (such as your IP address) may be transmitted to Google, including in the United States. Google LLC participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, recognised as adequate by the European Commission.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files that websites store on the user’s device. This website does not use profiling cookies or analytics tools.

Technical tools do not require consent. Google Maps content is loaded only after you click “Accept” in the banner or “Show the map” on the Contacts page. The font used by the website is hosted on our own servers and does not involve any data transfer to third parties.

8. Your rights

At any time you may ask the controller for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and you may object to processing (Articles 15–22 GDPR), by writing to info@socea.it. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
